Sometimes you need more than the family car to move your belongings but you don’t need a full removals service. That is where the HOT Moves Man With A Van option comes in.
You can book one, two or even three men with a Luton van, paying by the hour to take your stuff anywhere you want it to go. With just a two hour minimum, this service is perfect for even the smaller jobs!
It’s not just moving house of course, many people use our Man With A Van service to move offices, dispose of unwanted white goods or take bulky boxes for storage.
Perhaps you are buying a large item, such as a dining room table or fridge freezer and it requires you to collect and deliver yourself. Even if the item is delivered to your front door, we can help move it into place and dispose of the rubbish afterwards.

- How do I book a HOT Moves man with a van?
Just give us a quick call, tell us what it is you’re moving, where to and when and we’ll book a Man With A Van in.
- It won’t take long to move my things, what’s the minimum time I can book for?
We know some journey’s are just around the corner, which is why our minimum booking time is just 2 hours.
- How much will it cost me?
A typical booking period is for 2 hours for a short journey, requiring loading and unloading at either end. For a Luton van and two people that would be £150 + VAT. All our prices are in the table above.
- Will my belongings be insured?
They certainly will. As part of your booking you automatically receive free goods in transit insurance up to the value of £100,000.
- I don’t have any packing cases, can you help?
HOT Moves are happy to provide packing materials for any goods you need to move.
- Can you take items to the tip for me?
Again the answer is yes. If you have old furniture or white goods that are beyond saving we can take them to a local Recycling Centre in Reading. We hold a waste carriers license, compliant with all current guidelines. Some items will incur an extra charge from the recycling centre, which we’ll pass on but tell you in advance. Give a member of the team a call for further information on this.
- Can you store items for me?
Yes! We sure can. You can book our Man With A Van service to collect your belongings and bring them to our very own storage yard, located at our Head Office, here in Henley-on-Thames. Please ask us for details on our storage units when you call so we can talk you through how it all works.
- If I need help over the weekend can you do it?
Provided you book in advance we’re happy to provide our Man With A Van service on a Saturday.
- If I need urgent help can you do it?
For any last minute or on the day requirements, it is best to give us a call. If we have a window in our schedule or a vehicle available, we will be sure to get to you as soon as possible. Talk to one of the team, we’re always happy to help if we can.
